Daily Fit Thought #7

13 Nov

Today’s fit thought is especially dear to me. I always have to remember that what I am doing is a lifestyle change. Days like today, when I take an unexpected rest day, I find it hard to not just go ahead and quit. So many people see a finish line to their exercising and eating right. “When I lose blahblahblah I will not longer have to blahblahblah.” They end up killing themselves for thirty to ninety days and then what happens? They usually gain it all back. They saw a finish line. They never let their body properly rest. They probably did not practice moderation or flexibility in their diets. This is not how we maintain the fit figure we are all lusting after.

It is a lifestyle change!

Give yourself a break here and there. If you could not make it to the gym today, go tomorrow! If you had an extra snack, do not worry because it will all balance out in the end as long as you keep at it. Never beat yourself up about not getting to a certain weight, a certain PR, or a certain size by a very specific date. What you need to keep in mind is that EVERYDAY you are trying to be better than you were the day before. The most important part of that is: when you fall down you do not stay down, you get right back up.

Very true! We all need to find an exercise and eating pattern that we can sustain for the long run!
